What are TriAx Geogrids and how do they work? A geogrid is a geosynthetic material used to stabilize soil. Geogrids have openings, called apertures, which allow aggregate to strike through and provide confinement and interlock. Geogrids can improve the long-term performance of paved and unpaved roadways by minimizing aggregate movement and maintaining modulus values.
Compared to other geotextiles or flexible grids, Tensar TriAx Geogrids spread road loads over a wider area of subgrade, lessening the impact of heavy loads and reducing installation and maintenance costs.
Many may claim to have equivalent products to Tensar's TriAx Geogrid, but the truth is there is no equivalent to TriAx Geogrid. Learn more about claims of equivalency and how not all geosynthetics are created equal on our "True Measure of Performance" page.
